The team managed to fill in time gaps admirably by passing out information packets and doing fly-bys trying to catch representatives in their offices or communicating with their aides.\\ \\ Some notable occurrences: Our first visitor of the day (8:00-8:20 am) was freshman District 103 Rep. Soo Hong. Her energy set the tone and the team was off. Freshman District 111 Rep. Rey Martinez dropped by (8:45-9:20 am) and took several of the team on an in-depth tour of the capitol building, including both the House and Senate chambers.\\ \\ After moving to the Coverdell building we closed our day with an impromptu visit from freshman Rep. Rick Townsend of District 179 in Brunswick. Mr. Townsend sought us out so as to verify, what we assured him, was untrue information regarding COS; in my opinion, he left a future supporter. {{https://content.conventionofstates.com/cosaction-prod/public/content/images/64316/64316_original.jpg?200x133}} The jewel of the day was RC Laura Roush getting a strong commitment from District 112 Rep. Bruce Williamson and his willingness to put his name and face on a COS endorsement! Being new to the Convention of States team I was impressed with the amount of effort put into organizing this event and I am definitely looking forward to next year at the capitol.
