In 2018, a  similar meeting took place when  Convention of States President  Mark Meckler and former U.S.  Senator Tom Coburn appeared on  Fox News Life, Liberty & Levin with  long- time Article V Convention of  States advocate Mark Levin. For the full hour, these political  thought leaders discussed the state  of American politics and how to stop  an overreaching government bent  on our nation’s destruction. Like the  Founders, they unanimously believe  a Convention of States is essential  to halting government growth and  tyranny. “If you dig in, what you fi nd  historically is we have created  a structural problem. It’s not a  personnel issue,” Meckler said,  “We’ve actually broken the structure  of our government.”  Sen. Coburn tried to correct the  nation’s course in the Senate for ten  years concluding, “What’s wrong  with our country isn’t going to get  fi xed by the career politicians that  are in the Senate or the House. So I  left looking for another method with  which we can cheat history and not  be a republic that falls. We need the  decision-making process to be closer  to the people instead of unelected  bureaucrats. We have a solution that  will actually solve this great problem.” Thankfully, the solution can be found  in Article V of the Constitution,  which gives the people, acting  through their state legislatures,  power to call a Convention of  States for the purpose of proposing  amendments to restrain government tyranny. Mark Levin pointed out, “Today  the Supreme Court amends the  Constitution, Congress passes  MARK LEVIN FEATURES CONVENTION OF STATES FOR A FULL HOUR ON //**LIFE, LIBERTY & LEVIN **// **“We need the decision-making ** **process to be closer to the ** **people instead of unelected ** **bureaucrats. They amend  through the courts. Over 250  [leftist groups] signed a press release  together attacking [a Convention of  States] saying... this is intended to  reverse 115 years of progressivism.  “And we say, ‘yes, it is!’ ” This leftist opposition can’t stop  the growing momentum of the  Convention of States, which boasts  over 3.5 million supporters across  the political spectrum.  “This is a fi ght about who decides -  Washington, D.C., versus the people.  The Framers answered that question  very clearly at the beginning of the  Constitution in big bold calligraphy,  ‘We, the people decide,’ ” said  Meckler. Sen. Coburn added, “The American  spirit is about liberty and freedom.  This movement is about restoring  decision making to the states. It’s  about honoring the vision of our  Founders that we will decide as  sovereign citizens of the state. We  give the power to the government.  They don’t give it to us. We have the  right to maintain and focus on our own freedom and our own decisions  within our own states.” This watershed interview brought  awareness of the Convention  **“If you dig in, what you ** **find historically is we ** **have created a structural ** **problem. That’s the bottom line,  and you two gentleman are among  the leaders of a movement that is  showing them the way to do it. Is  there a solution?” he asked. “Yes.  Embrace the Constitution.” **conventionofstates.com/take_action** info@conventi onofstates.com **Save America’s Future:** 512-487-5525 •
