As a baby boomer, I heard the phrase “because I said so” a lot growing up. My father wielded the saying anytime I questioned his decisions or ultimatums. And I did so often.\\

“Because I said so” never satisfied me. It made my blood boil. Even as a small child, I hated that evasive phrase.  I wanted answers.\\
\\

"Don’t trouble your little head about that, citizen, we’ll take care of everything. We know what’s best for you, leave it to us.”\\

I don’t think so. I didn’t fall for it at five, and I’m not falling for it now – an undisclosed amount of years later. That’s why I joined Convention of States, to participate in a grassroots army pursuing self-governance. Being a part of COS Action gives me a way to fulfill my obligation and exercise my privilege as an informed and engaged American citizen.\\

Don’t allow a self-important group of politicians and hucksters to get away with “because I said so”.  Get involved and volunteer in Convention of States where you’ll find like-minded compatriots who share your values. Together we can link arms and work toward forming a more perfect union.\\
