If you like football, you may be a fan of the New England Patriots. Those guys that suit up and struggle to win on Sunday are the Patriots.  Those that sit and watch, with perhaps beer and munchies at their side, are Patriot //fans.\\

//The Declaration of Independence ensds with a commitment of 'Our Lives, Our Fortunes, and our Sacred Honor'.  Those Founding Fathers, when they** **signed their names to it, had no country, no constitution. Their devoted commitment was to each other, to act to bring about a nation of liberty. They were not just fans of the idea; they were committed to the struggles against all odds!  

We live in a time where our liberty is again under attack, and true Patriots again, must do something.\\

The place to start is committing to be a Fifteen-Minute Patriot.

The Fifteen Minute Ptriot commits to spending jsut 15 minutes a month to make your voice heard.  This can be done by:  (Check what you will commit to doing)

**Learn**\\

            Go to www.cosuniversity.com.  If you have an account at conventionofstates.com use that  login/password, otherwise               create one now.\\
             Start with COS100 Introduction to Convention of States.\\
             Next, take the COS200 Responding to Opposition course to become familiar with answers to common                                     misconceptions.\\
             Return often and complete more courses. Your self-education is a key to our success.\\

%%__%%_ ★ Attend a local government, neighborhood board, school board, or political party meeting to observe and learn what is                going on in your area.

%%__%%_ ★ Follow Convention of States on social media and share the posts. \\
%%__%%_ ★ Ask your state team/District Captain what activities are happening in your area, and ask what help is needed. \\

%%__%%_ ★ Develop a short (60 second or less) ‘elevator speech’ to tell people about COS. \\
%%__%%_ ★ Tell your family/friends about COS and ask them to sign the petition.\\
%%__%%_ ★ Invite a small group to attend a meeting in your home, or to a breakfast or discussion over coffee                    about COS. \\
%%__%%_ ★ Set a goal to get 5 new petition signers in the next month.\\
%%__%%_ ★ Write a letter to the editor in a local newspaper.

**Contact Your Legislators**

%%__%%_ ★ Send a handwritten letter to your legislator.\\
%%__%%_ ★ Set up a meeting with your legislators to talk about COS. \\
