Are the 3 letter unelected departments in Washington raiding American's homes using the writs of assistance approach, that James Otis was passionate against in 1761, which violates the 4th Amendment? Do we have career politicians who out earn most Americans on American's tax dollars? Are they following George Washington's example of staying in office for a short period of time? Is our border patrol being told to stand down and not perform their duties? Has our right to free speech been infringed? What about the freedom of the press, to assembly, to petition our grievances if the government has caused us harm, or have they interfered with any religious practice? Has the inalienable right to bear arms been infringed? Are we already in a civil war?   These pamphleteers knew America had a solution if this were to happen.  The solution our founders had the forethought to document in our U.S. Constitution. The emergency plan written out incase our federal government chose not to exercise the specified checks and balances. Have you guessed it yet? {{https://content.conventionofstates.com/cosaction-prod/public/content/images/58748/58748_original.png?600x503}}  If you feel that our federal government has not been responsible and unable to practice self discipline, then it is time to active the emergency backup plan, and call a Convention of the States to restore our Republic.  Activating Article V is the ONLY **non-violent** way that "we the people" can fulfill our duty to protect our founding document.   This amending proposal convention requires many American's to participate.  In fact, it will never be called until 34 states submit their applications to Congress with the same wording on their applications.  Do you think this high bar was planned or by accident?   You see if Americans spend their time focused on their own lives, working and raising their families, yet shaft their civic duty, then these actions or lack thereof will continue to result in what we see today. Congress will continue to believe in their fantasy of an elitist society- starring them, where they can roam free, funded by American taxpayers' money.   ====== There is hope. ======   Americans are continually learning their civic duty, most for the first time, and taking action to secure the next generation's future.   **Want to join us?**   Send people to our [[http://www.conventionofstates.com|website]] to learn more.
