No Created: 2023-02-08 23:35:24 Updated: 2023-12-20 17:48:32 Published: 2023-02-07 04:00:00 Converted: 2025-04-14T20:31:25.565137455 ---- {{https://gallery.mailchimp.com/3a21cd3d06284c105dbd92fee/images/c13498f5-cc63-4762-a8ba-df632bae4388.jpg?667x79}} Summary (Our “Here”)\\ \\ From last year we have increased the number of DC’s in the State to six, but we also have 11 DC candidates in the Leadership Management Tool that are in one stage of vetting or onboarding.  We have also added the following: LL 1; VA 8; FUT Team 5; SMW 5; DC Team 11; SGC 1; VCD 2; SGC Team 1; SD Team 1; and SCC 1.  Bear in mind that we have people holding down more than one position, and we appreciate their efforts.\\ \\ We currently have 8950 petition signatures with 1232 of those being veterans.\\ \\ Grassroots Strategy & Goals  (Our “There”):\\ Our goal is to continue to build the grassroots in Alaska with the below stated goals:\\ \\ ●       Supporter Growth – we would like to reach 10,000 signed petitions by next year.\\ \\ ●       We want to attend more events such as fairs, gun shows, and festivals.  To do this we need more activism from the VA’s and DC Team members.  We are currently planning on being at the Bear Paw Festival in Eagle River next summer.\\ \\ ●       We would like to see at least half of the DC candidates in the LMT onboarded, functional, and involved next year.  This would put us at 11 active DC’s.\\ \\ ●       COS University – would like to see at least a 50% increase in involvement in COSU.\\ \\ ●       Recruitment goals – would like to see much more involvement from Districts in the interior and North; particular in the Fairbanks, Delta Junction, North Pole area.\\ \\ ●       Would like to gather a list of events in each District that we could provide a presence.\\ \\ ●      Create a team of volunteers who will create a monthly, statewide newsletter that could be submitted to the National page each month.\\ \\ Legislative Strategy & Goals (Our “There”):\\  \\ ●       Increase the number of DC’s talking to their legislators by at least 50%\\ \\ ●       Have DC’s enter reports of contact in the COSAction app where they can be tallied.\\ \\ ●       Set up a virtual surge event for 2024.  With Alaska’s geographical diversity an in-person event is not practical.\\ \\ ●       Set up webinar that can be broadcast to schools for Constitution Day.\\ \\ ●       Have candidate surveys done for each local, state and national election in 2024
