(Austin, TX—May 17th, 2021) Convention of States Action, in partnership with The Trafalgar Group—one of America’s most accurate pollsters in 2016, 2018 and 2020—is releasing the results of a new national survey. Conducted from May 14th thru May 16th, the poll of 1,531 likely general election voters has a margin of error of 2.51%. 


“Americans are tired of the ever-changing mixed messages, partisanship, lack of clarity, and lack of common sense coming out of Washington, DC on COVID-19. They’re clearly returning to normal life and are tuning out Dr. Anthony Fauci, the CDC, and federal officials,” said Mark Meckler, President of Convention of States Action. “Clearly, voters are instead looking to leaders who are taking a pragmatic approach. Last week, our polling revealed a surge in support for Governor Ron DeSantis in Florida, whose data-driven, scientific Pandemic policies—which take into consideration personal and religious liberty, as well as economic concerns—have earned him national accolades.”

KEY INSIGHT: Voters Aren’t Looking to Washington, DC to Decide When They Personally Consider the COVID-19 Pandemic to be Over

• 26.4% of voters look to the CDC/Federal Government to say the pandemic is over
• 25.7% of voters say the pandemic is already over 
• 19.6% of voters say when everyone has the opportunity to take the vaccine
• 17.2% aren’t sure when the COVID-19 pandemic will be over
• 11.1% never took COVID seriously
