ATTENTION NEVADA SUPPORTERS: We have just learned that the Republican Party of Nevada is voting today on a proposal to officially oppose the Convention of States Project and all other efforts to use Article V of the Constitution to let states propose needed amendments. Obviously, the passage of this measure would undermine our efforts to make Nevada one of the 34 necessary states to call for an Article V Convention to rein in the federal government.

The Nevada Republican Party Central Committee members urgently need to hear from you on this! Please contact the Republican Party Executive Committee and County Leaders immediately to tell them that you support the Convention of States Project and want the matter to be given full consideration by your elected representatives. If you like, you can simply copy and paste the sample message below, and send it to the following list of Central Committee members.

Sample Message:

I am a resident of Nevada, and I strongly support the Convention of States Project, which seeks to use Article V of the Constitution to call a convention for proposing amendments that would rein in the power of our runaway federal government. I know that many conservatives agree with me. On August 2nd the NRCC is scheduled to vote on a resolution opposing a Convention of States. Please vote against this measure and any others that would incorporate opposition to the use of Article V as a plank of the Republican Party of Nevada’s platform. This is an important issue that should be considered and decided by the people of Nevada and their elected representatives; not by a group of political party leaders.
